(note: this was long overdue and I left it as a draft one night and haven't touched it since.... today. Anyways, my apologies.... here's my post about raya XD like finally =P)
So after the whole month of fasting, there's that one day to look forward to (or sometimes nothing much to look forward to...) Yeah, i'm talking about RAYA!
So yeah... Raya this year fell on the 1st of October. I had managed to persuade my grandma to host and open house for friends this year so I decided to invite a bunch (my old school friends and some new faces amongst the cosplay gang). Although many were away and out of town to balik kampung (as expected) turn out to my house was reasonably good. I even posted on the CF (comic fiesta) forums and invited anyone who was interested. Free food and good company? You can't go wrong =3
I went f0r the Raya early morning prayers as usual with family and returned home to wait for my friends. I told em to come after 10.... I waited.... and waited... and waited some more... the clock struck 12 and still no one came. I was starting to get worried lol but eventually i got my first visitor AMELIA XD who came through the gates after being dropped off by her parents. We were then joined by the likes of Edmond, Rio, Shaun, Haithal, and a few others. I had to go pick up gemz and akiko from the trian station at around 1plus so I drove over to find akiko-chan sitting near the stair case (was she reading? I can't remember XD). Then I got a minor shock lols! Gemz showed up after about 1omins and in.... a BAJU KURUNG? O___________O
It is so not her lols!
I brought em home and offered em the usuals, a drink (my gramma's fruit punch, a fav amongst the guests I might add) and some kuih raya (i know a bunch of you liked the cookies you cookie monsters!) I went out a few hours later to pick up Potter and gang who arrived in the late evening. I picked up Sky too but I had to turn around to get her though (she arrived a lil late but no matter, I needed to get more Ice so it's ok Sky ;))
I tried intergrating my two groups of friends who came (EPIC FAILZ that was). My old skool friends all decided it was cooler (temp wise) to stay in the lounge and play chotaiti (did i spell that right?). My new anime/manga/and all things cosplay friends were more interested in staying in my room raiding what little manga I had on the shelf and forcing me to.... to.... watch X_X scenes from... J-j-j-JUNJOU ROMANTICA (god purge my soul lols I am a sinner!..... But so what right? OMGROLF!)
The day went along at a decent pace once my guests all arrived. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and at least we managed to take the time to leave the confines of our social circles to take a group picture =) (i know... my eyes a sepet-ed coz I'm smiling and showing joy, deal with it =3)
Everyone started making a move to get home at around 6ish. Everyone said their goodbyes and some continued texting even after they left about how good a host I make. I thank you for attending this year. May there be a nice get together next year for raya ;)

ACGC (LIKE FINALLY RIGHT!?)
Hullo friends and cosplayers alike! I would like to first apologize for not updating this blog of mine sooner (it's long over due i know) but I didn't have internet access at all since friday night the night before ACGC day 1 till today (literally a week has passed) Gomenasai!!!
Anyways, moving on to ACGC.... IT ROCKED!!!! XD i know some of you who've attended events before might see it as a flop because you've seen better (at CF more like) but this is my third convention and it was a blast. Although the first day showed a limited amount of attendances by both the public as well as cosplayers but the Air Gear Private shoot made up for it as me and the gang made our way to the interconnecting bridge between Midvalley and The Gardens for some pictures. *note* (we got questioned about our intentions during the beginning by security guards patrolling the area but aside from that and the F****D up malay group of shufflers/punks, the shoot went on without a hitch. Here's some pics
There's more on the forums somewhere and sorry for the resized photos guys and gals, i saved the wrong ones so if anyone wants bigger ones you can request em from me later or ask 9gems our photographer for that outing. After the shoot, we decided to go back and see if there was anything else to do. I bought some stuff from Mitsy's and Cappy's booth (nice job girls but Half of the things there i've already gotten from TAF =P thanks for the nice bookmarks though!) I skated around the back of the doujin' area looking at my cosplay friends taking pics together. Not long after that, as I was sitting down in the lounge-ish area 9gems surprised us by cosplaying Kazu (one of the important supporting characters in Air Gear) the things that occured afterwards I think i'll keep amongst those who were there, myself and god XD owh my.... what naughty things cosplayers do when they're bored.... i still want those photos people! This proves the surveys are bullshit! Semes and Ukes can change depending on the situation lols! Ok.. i've said too much... AHEM*
It got close to breaking fast time and well... to avoid a long story, we had to drag ourselves all the way to the bowels of the gardens to grab a bite to eat. VERY FAR AWAY FROM THE CONVENTION CENTRE... We went home generally happy though =) thanks mitt's mom for the food!
SECOND DAY
Got up early coz i had to go to KL to do something for my grandma. She needed to get something from a friend's house and i drove back from Subang to KL and back to my friend's place to grab my stuff. We got to the convention centre and Ken started styling as well as spraying my hair to get the SpitFire look. Apparently this is a deviant act XD WHY WAS EVERYONE STARING i'll never know... Wani arrived later with my jacket (yhey! I finally look the part with the fur on =D) and i was off skating again once i got my skates back on. LOADS I'm TELLING YOU LOADS OF PHOTOGRAPHERS on the 2nd day! *cries tears of joy* I was so happy to be recognized as SpitFire! and all thanks to Wani for her work ;) *i still owe you I won't forget ;P*
I even got an interview by some people who're putting up a site for cosplay events and stuff. Hope i'll be included in the video ;)
Mmm... OK OK I CONFESS!!! I skipped fasting that day.... ONLY ONE DAY la... coz i would've fainted if i didn't have something to eat before my performance. I'll ganti eventually ;P I mean how could i have pulled this off on an empty stomach
The performance I did was rather impromptu. I just finished figuring what I was gonna do literally hours before the competition. Heck, i didn't even know when i was registering. Since SpitFire doesn't show up much and all he does is act kakkoii~ I decided to steal some of Ikki's material and add a lil humour to the skit. Yeah.... SpitFire's school for StormRiders 101.
The skit kinda goes like this. SpitFire has the ability to control time...slightly... so i overblew the ability and made him accidentally travel back in time to when Air Treks are just plain rollerblades... *i flamed rolled and fell causing me to slip into the past* yup... no more regalias >_<>_< with dead/hollow XD
Tried to be seme afterwards but.... then everyone started gangbanging me.... look at it.... some many people....
Moving along somemore, I met a pair of my Reno (now turned SpitFire...) fans at the event. Even though they made me get go on wild goose chases by playing kinda one sided hide and seek it was nice to finally see them in person and take some pics with em (sorry jo jo... pic turned out blur....) carmen's pic was ok though for some reasons XD Maybe you'll get lucky next time!
There's loads of cosplay pics for me to post up but unfortunately i don't have them yet coz i haven't hunted for them *blame the internet!!!!!*
So i'll just end by saying the event was a blast for me. I met some new faces and got to bond with some not so new ones too ;) We even did the YMCA dance after the competition!!! Loved it!!! Eventhough i did the C backwards XD Till next time!
