Recent photo shoot pics

Hey gang, haven't updated since C2Age so I figured i'd just post up some pics from my most recent photo shoot with one of my new photog friend (who was also a model for this shoot) planned out by her friends.

As usual (being Malaysian as we are) we started later than expected and arrived later than we planned too. I must say that this has to be the longest shoot i've ever been apart of... I got home at 7p.m. *rolls eyes* nearly 12 hours when I left the house... but despite it all, the effort put in produced EPICLY PROPORTIONAL shots like this.

These are just a couple of the shots we took, more can be found on my facebook account. Just look under photos of me =D but these three are some of my favs. Hahaha gotta thank the two photogs one day for a great job! Must belanja them XDDDDD Ciaos for now. I got an exam to study for. Peace~

C2Age 2009 desu~

So I eventually decided to go (despite wanting to not take the event seriously and all the comments from my senior cosplay friends). I got a ride from Marguera (Dan) and Beat Box:

our master kame for the day *sniggers*. Sorry if you had to wait a bit... as you can see from this shot, I wasn't all that energized lol

So skipping through the unncessary details about who followed who and who got lost where trying to get to HELP, we managed to find a couple of sweet spots to park right under the college university. We arrived around noon and explored the venue a bit.

Nothing out of the ordinary, you had your corperate sponsors like U-Mobile and those other online gaming companies that want you to register up. Sadly due to the lack of a proper multipurpose hall, everything was spread out pretty thin. You had booths far off in the distant corridors where most people wouldn't venture as its a heck far from the main stage. Some amount of replanning could be done for the floor arrangement but there's always complaints about stuff like this so lets continue on with the event shall we?

So there were some competitions being held during the day. I chose not to participate in the main ones this time around and just enjoy the festivities of 'syok sendiri' through the photoshoot with my Haruhi and camwhoring with the rest of my cosplay friends. Here are a few shots I like from the ones I found....

This was a shot of me (before I changed) with niko and yensheng (he's sticking his tongue out lol)

This is a shot of me after I switch into my Ouran Highschool Hostclub outfit. Wahaha I ish Tamaki-sempai (although many couldn't tell if I was him or Honey since their hair styles are the same)

This pose only confused them even more XDDD (so I OOC-ed for one pose XP big whoop)

Master Kame snapping a pic for the road, of his hang out day with Tamaki =)

We're later joined by another casual looking Haruhi who jumped in for a pic as well *smile!*

Posing all day is hard... Sora and Tamaki just can't handle the attention after awhile *face palm*
But after a hard days work, its shots like this that make it feel all worth while...

ZCDave as his portrayal of Dante from Devil May Cry. I was pretty impressed as he did a pretty decent job and portraying Dante in this photo

Despite not being as fair as the original Sora, Brian looks EPICLY GARRR here. The details on his clothes and his accurate key blade under the dim lighting makes him look very cool~

Me being all the host that I can be *laughs* "How may I serve your needs today Mademoiselle?"

There was an Anime Chess competition which was done in a very half ass-ed manner (there was a huge lack of pawns and you can imagine the chaos that ensued afterwards)

Very disorganized game but I'm sure some people had fun at least. It could've gone much smoother though (stopping my ranting right now and moving on with pics XDDD)

Minna > We ish sorriez... we are just pieces in someone's game.... Gomenasai~
Joshua (photog in background) > Heh!? FTW?

We also celebrated Solomon's/Captain Chaos's birthday (again) as we forgot to do the most important part... CUT THE CAKE!

All of us gathered on the upper level of the convention hall for a brief cake cutting ceremony and some snap shots to remind us of that day =D Happy birthday again Solomon!

There's many more photos I have stored on my HDD but I'm lazy to post em all. Hope everyone had a decent time at C2Age. Lets hope it'll improve on this years flaws for next year ;) Ciao for now!

UNI... the new frontier =3

So college is coming to an end for me. In a few more weeks I'll be over and done with ICPU at Taylors and I'll only return to visit friends from time to time when I have the chance... In someway I feel relieved to say good bye to this place since I'm long over due to graduate. Almost all of my friends have gone and moved on with their lives, to UNI and jobs and stuff, while i'm still stuck in Taylors doing what I've always been doing for the past 2 years and a half.

On the other hand, I will miss the atmosphere i've grown used to at the institution. The people I see everyday, my friends, lecturers and even the cleaning ladies (hahahaha they're nice ok if you don't ignore them!) I like the ICPU programme and the stuff we learn as well as the way we learn them. I've never had so many heartfelt discussions, even ones which would literally bring tears to my eyes (I cried during a presentation coz I got so emotional over it.... embarrassing much I know....)

Well, away from the possibly emo past and present.... ON TO DA FUTURE!!!! UNI XP
So yeah, i've applied to several institutions through the online UCAS system to apply for UK UNI's and so far I've gotten all the replies i've wanted. I can go to Hull, York, Leeds as well as Bucks (but since I got more info on the last one, I doubt i'll go to Bucks). They all seem pretty nice... York is rated number 12 in the entire UK so that might be my first choice. Hull's pretty good too since its close to relatives which would be convenient if i'm ever in a pinch.

Here's a photo I found for York's Campus

This one's of the School Grounds =3

This one's the front of Hull University (why do all the schools have that old brick look to em)

This might be my new home if I study at Hull =D looks ok

LEEDSSSSS X3 huhuhuhu looks interestingly fresh~

Mmm... yeah... wondering whats life got in store for this mixed up eurasian mofo this time... I will miss my MAMAK the most XDDDDDD of course I'll miss you guys too! MSN me during those free late nights yeah???

Internet Speed (under Streamyx or shitmyx if you prefer)

So yeah, I decided to check my speed on Speedtest.net
(http://www.speedtest.net/global.php)
making sure my line is running smoothly as it should since
download speed has been sucking a bit the past few weeks.
Anyways, after having talked over msn with my friend who's
currently residing in Japan, I thought i'd use the results
to compare Japan's internet speed with our own... good lord
was I ever in for a shock...

I'm using a 4meg line under Streamyx. That's the fastest speed you're gonna get in this country. There's nothing faster than what I've got the last time I checked. Did the test and this is what I got

I think a bunch of you would say not bad considering it'd take me only 14 secs to download an Mp3 which averages out to about something as big as 5mb, 2mins for something as big as a video clip thats sized at 35Mb's and only over half an hour for a movie thats only 800megs.

At full speed the line is quite good for my standards. You dudes and dudets who're budgeting on the lower speeds are really fucked during peak hours (from all the complaints and rants i've heard from friends and family). So hearing this must garner a response like, "yeah that's a really nice line you've got there". Well after checking my results, i went on to look at the world speed index... I was totally blown out of the water as to how slow we truly are in the internet world. Malaysia is ranked at:-

Top Countries by Download Speed

  • 1. 17.83 Mb/s Korea, Republic of <<<<<<<< Shit... that's like MORE than 10times faster
  • 2. 16.07 Mb/s Japan <<<<<<<< HOMG I HAETS MY FREN WEI.....
  • 3. 11.55 Mb/s Sweden
  • 4. 11.28 Mb/s Lithuania
  • 5. 10.33 Mb/s Romania
  • 6. 10.11 Mb/s Latvia
  • 7. 9.40 Mb/s Bulgaria
  • 8. 8.97 Mb/s Netherlands
  • 9. 7.59 Mb/s Germany
  • 10. 7.39 Mb/s Russian Federation
  • 11. 7.26 Mb/s Moldova, Republic of
  • 12. 7.23 Mb/s Slovakia
  • 13. 7.15 Mb/s Switzerland
  • 14. 7.04 Mb/s Finland
  • 81. 1.67 Mb/s Malaysia <<<<<<<>

O_O we're so slow... anyways... I hope we increase in speed soon... this is freaking unacceptable wei. Owh and UPGRADE TO A FASTER LINE XD or not...

Lousy Week~

God... this week hasn't been the best one for me nor my friends.
To start off, its getting soooo freakkkkiiiingggg HAWTTTTT out there...
Air Conditioning is like failing to keep us cool anymore (at college anyways)
My BRAND NEW PHONE's LCD screen broke after having it over only a month...
My car is giving me problems through its steering and fuel injection systems...
a couple other things are bothering me too but i'd rather not mention them right now.

Well at least I can say i'm handling the week in a more matured and calmed manner as compared to how I would do so in the past. I know I worry a lot, I tend to whine and then there are times I just completely lose my top but hey... no one's perfect right? I'm just glad I didn't do anything like that this time. Kept keeping those positive thoughts flowing. Being appreciative of what you got helps coz you know it might be lost to you if you're not careful.

Hope you guys aren't having a bad a week as me and my gang. We're a lil demoralized but i'm sure we'll get back on our feet eventually. Peace out ya'all! Watching anime to keep my mind off the bad shit =P
